The Opportunity
Working closely with the leadership team, you'll play a key role in reviewing work, providing technical guidance and helping develop junior accountants. While you'll maintain client relationships and assist with complex advisory matters, your focus will increasingly move towards leadership rather than day-to-day production.
Key Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, income tax returns and compliance work.
- Mentor and coach Intermediate and Senior Accountants.
- Assist with workflow management and job allocations.
- Support the leadership team on complex tax and advisory matters.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance where required.
- Identify process improvements and help maintain quality across the team.
- Continue developing towards a broader management position.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- 8+ years' experience within Australian public practice.
- Strong Business Services & Tax experience.
- Previous experience reviewing work for junior staff.
- Sound technical knowledge across SME and privately owned businesses.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
