We’re recruiting a Senior Advisory Accountant for a modern Brisbane firm offering a 100% advisory position. You’ll work directly with partners and business owners, gaining hands-on exposure to the conversations and decisions that shape a business.
With no compliance workload, you’ll have the space to develop your advisory skills and a clear opportunity to progress towards Manager.
About the role
You’ll help business owners understand their financial performance, explore opportunities and plan their next steps. Client-facing from day one, you’ll contribute to meetings, develop recommendations and learn directly from the partners.
This role suits a senior accountant who enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers and wants to take a more active role in advising clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing financial information to identify trends, challenges and opportunities.
- Preparing clear insights and practical recommendations for client discussions.
- Participating in meetings with business owners and helping them understand their financial position.
- Working closely with partners to support business planning and strategic advice.
- Building client relationships and following through on agreed actions.
- Taking increasing ownership of advisory work as you develop towards Manager.

About you
You’re a senior accountant who enjoys working with clients and wants to build a career in advisory. You’re curious about how businesses operate, confident working with financial information and keen to develop your judgement through practical experience.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in an accounting firm, with exposure to business services or advisory work.
- Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to explain financial information clearly and practically.
- A personable approach and an interest in building client relationships.
- Initiative, thoughtful questions and a willingness to take ownership of your work.
- The ambition to progress into a Manager role.
You may already work in advisory or be looking to move from a compliance-heavy position into a role with greater client exposure.
