This is a great opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a well-established and growing public practice firm where client relationships, quality work and professional development genuinely matter.
The firm has built a strong reputation through long-standing client relationships and a high level of service, and with continued growth, they’re looking to add another accountant to the team.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of clients while gaining exposure to tax planning and advisory work alongside experienced Managers and Partners.
It’s a role suited to someone who enjoys the technical side of accounting but also wants to pick up the phone, speak with clients and understand the bigger picture behind their numbers.
The role
You’ll be involved across a varied client portfolio, with responsibility for:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse range of clients
- Managing day-to-day client communication and building strong relationships
- Working with SMEs, family groups and high-net-worth individuals
- Assisting with tax planning and broader business advisory work
- Working closely with Managers and Partners across a range of engagements
- Taking increasing ownership of your work as your experience develops
What we're looking for
You’ll ideally have:
- 2–4 years’ experience in Australian public practice
- Strong experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and building rapport
- A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of your work
- A genuine interest in developing your technical and advisory skillset
- CA/CPA commenced, or a genuine intention to commence
