Our client, a highly regarded and progressive accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a strong tax administrator to join their Melbourne Office. This role offers the opportunity to build on your practice administration experience while developing Personal Assistant responsibilities supporting senior leaders.
Working within a supportive accounting team, you'll be responsible for a broad range of practice administration, compliance, and client service functions, while providing administrative support to Partners and senior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ATO administration, including client correspondence, records, payment arrangements and GIC remission requests.
- Support ASIC compliance, including company registrations, annual reviews and statutory records.
- Provide administrative support to Partners, including diary management, meetings and document preparation.
- Manage client onboarding and off boarding, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
- Prepare engagement letters, proposals, reports, presentations and client documentation.
- Assist with taxation administration, including IAS/BAS workflows, tax returns and lodgement deadlines.
- Maintain practice management systems, client databases, workflows and electronic filing.
- Coordinate billing, debtor follow-up and general practice administration.
- Liaise with clients, accountants, regulators and stakeholders to resolve enquiries.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and office procedures.
About You
- You will have 3+ years' experience in a Senior Administrator, Client Services Coordinator, Practice Administration or Executive / Personal Assistant role within an accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of ATO and ASIC processes and accounting practice administration.
- Experience using Xero Practice Manager (XPM), FYI Docs, FuseDocs, FuseSign, CAS 360 / BGL, ATOmate, Xero, or similar practice management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client focused approach.
- Proactive, organised, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent document management, workflow coordination, and organisational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
