About the role
Taggart & Partners is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Business Services Accountant to join our team in Woolloongabba, Queensland.

As a full-time role (part-time considered), you will play a pivotal part in providing comprehensive accounting and taxation services to our diverse range of clients across various industries.
What you'll be doing
Preparing financial statements, tax returns, and other reporting for small to medium-sized businesses
Providing strategic tax planning advice to clients to minimise their tax obligations
Conducting detailed financial analysis and offering tailored business advisory services
Collaborating with clients to understand their unique needs and goals, and developing customised solutions
Mentoring and training junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest professional standards and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
What we're looking for
8+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar senior accounting role, preferably within a public practice environment
Thorough understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations, with the ability to provide expert advice
Strong technical accounting skills, including proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Comprehensive experience across full business services including taxation, advisory, bookkeeping, and client consultation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field
Australian permanent residency or citizenship required
